  1. Saw her in the play "Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks" in Laguna Beach last year--very affecting two character drama and she was ideally cast, not just for the character but because the role required dancing and she plainly is still is a dancer and did that part of it really well. A joy to see her. Yes, she's wonderful in her classic movies--as with you and others here, they've always been a part of my life.

  2. As lucky Blake put it, she's always been a part of my life... well, at least from age 11 when I first saw An American In Paris.

What I wouldn't give to be able to see her in the flesh!

  4. Thank you all for joining me in remembering Leslie on her birthday!

Blake, I envy you seeing her in that play in Laguna -- it had been on my list of things to possibly do but it wasn't a good time of year for me to get down there. Love hearing your impressions. I'm glad I at least got to speak with her at the Egyptian Theatre a couple of years ago. :)

I have a yen to watch FATHER GOOSE soon!

    Best wishes,
    Laura
