James Garner, 1928-2014

I don't think I'll ever be able to adequately express just how much happiness this man has brought to my life and how sad I am that he has left us.

God bless you, James Garner, and thanks from the bottom of my heart for everything.

Update: There's more on James Garner in my post James Garner Memorabilia.

Update: TCM Remembers James Garner.

  1. He was a very handsome leading man in his younger day and was, of course, hugely entertaining from his career-making Bret Maverick onwards.

A good, decent family man too. Another sad loss.

  2. There has never been, and there will never be another quite like James Garner. I will miss him.

We are indeed fortunate that he has left us such a wonderful legacy of movies and TV shows.

    RIP.

  4. Seeing the news on the television "crawl" was like getting kicked in the gut. Even my husband, who usually treats this sort of news with an offhand manner, had to take a deep breath and leave the room.
