In-N-Out Burger Expanding to Texas

Surprising news today: California's iconic In-N-Out Burger is laying out plans to expand to Texas.

In-N-Out is currently only in three states beyond the California border: Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.

In-N-Out has long said they would not expand further, which would require opening a second meat processing plant -- something which would be a challenge for a company which famously has very hands-on quality control from its Baldwin Park headquarters.

Hopefully In-N-Out will find a way to keep up the quality for which the company is so well known while further expanding their business.

Thanks for the link to this article. I keep bugging Mark Evanier about using his considerable influence to get us an In-N-Out Burger on the East Coast; when I saw this article I sent him something on Facebook that read "Well, you're gettin' close."

My mother and sister Kat have both been to the In-N-Out in Vegas and have pronounced the food there as out of this world. I'm green with envy, as you can well imagine.
