It's Alfred Hitchcock's earliest credit; he was writer, assistant director, editor and production designer. Incidentally, does anyone else think a photo of the young Hitchcock published in the L.A. Times resembles the young Walt Disney?

It's a great opportunity to see beautiful prints of films like Douglas Sirk's SLEEP, MY LOVE (1948), screening August 13th, and Anthony Mann's STRANGERS IN THE NIGHT (1944), playing August 21st.
...FANTASIA (1940) will be shown at the Hollywood Bowl with a live orchestra on August 19th. I'd love to go, but I'll be at Disney's D23 Expo that day!
