Noted film historian and critic Leonard Maltin had emergency surgery for a detached retina last weekend.
Maltin was in El Paso to attend the Plaza Classic Film Festival when he began experiencing significant vision difficulties.
Mr. Maltin reports that he drove home from Texas with his family and is recovering well. He must keep his head tilted down for a week, which doesn't sound like much fun, but hopefully his vision will soon be restored to normal.
I'm sure there are many, many people who join me in sending the highly esteemed Mr. Maltin very best wishes for his complete recovery.
I wish him the best.
ReplyDeleteBe well, Leonard.
