The weather here couldn't have been nicer for a stroll around California Adventure early this evening.
This was our first time to see the finished main entrance to the park:
It definitely has the feel of the entrance to Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, but with both park entrances reflecting Hollywood Art Deco of the '30s, that's to be expected. I love the green color and the Streamline Moderne stripes.
The Golden Gate Bridge and fake "postcard" look is now completely gone, and Sunshine Plaza is a thing of the past. (I'll miss the train, though! The Zephyr locomotive is going to a train museum in Portola, California.) The Carthay Circle Theater continues to grow:
We enjoyed another ride on Ariel's Undersea Adventure. I think it's the mark of a good ride -- rather like a good movie! -- that I'm still noticing "new" things each time I take a ride.
I never tire of this view from Paradise Park:
The Hollywood Tower Hotel on an August evening:
Cars Land continues to grow:
A bit of beauty spotted near the Blue Sky Cellar:
And in Bug's Land:
The Hyperion Theater as dusk approaches:
I need to go see ALADDIN again, it's been a long time!
Next weekend will be filled with Disney fun -- a three-day weekend at the D23 Expo!
