I'm especially enthused about the days for Ann Miller and Anne Shirley, as there are a number of films airing I've not yet seen. TARNISHED ANGEL (1938) and REVEILLE WITH BEVERLY (1943) will be shown on Miller's day, and CHASING YESTERDAY (1935) and A MAN TO REMEMBER (1938) on Shirley's day also look especially interesting; for good measure TARNISHED ANGEL and A MAN TO REMEMBER both costar Lee Bowman, another personal favorite.

There are also some interesting films on I haven't seen for years, such as BACKGROUND TO DANGER (1943) with George Raft and Brenda Marshall and THE CONSPIRATORS (1944) with Paul Henreid and Hedy Lamarr. Peter Lorre is in both films.

For more information, please visit the complete August schedule.

I'll have much more detailed look at the August schedule posted here at the end of July. In the meantime, Ann Sheridan is currently the June Star of the Month, with Tony Curtis coming in July.

All I get is a blank page...

You're going to love Reveille With Beverly, Laura - I had a 16mm film copy of it back in the 1960s (and I now have a pretty good copy recorded from television).

Lots of old favourites and hopefully new favourites in the August lineup. I enjoy Summer Under the Stars for just that reason that you never know what you will discover.

Thanks for the heads-up on all the summer fun.

PS: So, we have Lee Bowman in common as well. What a funny old world.

Hi Mel! It's not uncommon for TCM to take the schedule up and down briefly around the time it first appears...it's back up this morning. If it's not there next time you try it keep checking.

I love that you had a 16mm copy of REVEILLE WITH BEVERLY!!

Glad I could share, Caftan Woman! And I love that we each appreciate Lee Bowman. For me I first knew him thanks to one of my favorite musicals, TONIGHT AND EVERY NIGHT (1945) and so I've thought of him positively ever since. :)

Best wishes,
Laura

Wow Goldie Hawn? Did I read that right?

She may be the "newest" star theyve ever featured in all the years of Summer Under the Stars.

Great month as always.
