I was so in love with him when I was 6.

I can relate! My daughter is 17 and is getting to know the series through the DVDs. She now understands why I speak of the show so fondly :).

Yes, but it won't be the same without Stephanie Zimbalist, who I bet they won't bring back! I wonder if they'd at least bring Doris Roberts back.

Do you know why there were two different releases of Season 1? There is a DVD of Season 1, which I believe is a double-sided DVD. But there is also a DVD of Season 1 part 1 and a separate DVD of Season 1 part 2. I don't know if these were double-sided. Is that the only difference or is there something else? Did they do the same with Season 2? Just wondering, but never bought because of this.

I've seen this done occasionally, where you can either buy a show's entire season or buy it in smaller chunks. As far as I know, the two-volume release of Season 1 is simply a different way to market it -- ultimately more expensive but you can spread out the buying (grin). I'm not sure if the extras were on the two-part release or not.

As far as I know, there was only one release of the entire season of Season 2.

It was kind of strange how they left Zimbalist's name (not to mention photo) off the cover of Season 1 box, and had to rectify it with a sticker! (The sticker is on the actual box, not the shrink wrap.) They also goofed by including photos of Doris Roberts all over Season 1's box & insert. Other than that, it was a nice release. For Season 2 they fortunately remembered to include Zimbalist's name and face on the cover!
