A Fascinating Coincidence

A Northwest Airlines flight en route from Holland to India turned back to Holland today due to strange behavior by several passengers using forbidden cell phones. The plane, which had air marshals on board, was escorted on its return to Holland by two F-16 fighter jets.

In a very interesting coincidence, Tim Nelson, the gentleman who first tipped the U.S. government to the odd behavior of Zacarias Moussaoui in flight school, was a passenger on the plane.

I'll be curious to learn more about the passengers who were arrested.

I have a sneaking suspicion that these guys are only going to get a slap on the hand after reading this article over on Yahoo News:

If nothing else, they had cell phones on the plane illegally but I think there was more going on. Northwest did the right thing.

Oops, sorry the link doesn't work. I guess I'm not sure how to post links in a comment.

I'm breaking it up. If that doesn't work then one will have to go to Yahoo News and see if it is still there.

Thanks, Irene! Very interesting.

I've had trouble with think links in comments myself. I ended up with the same solution, breaking it up. The second link worked fine!

Best wishes, Laura

FWIW, I found that this works well in comments: type the less-than-sign/bracket followed by a href=" and then the url, then /" and the greater-than-sign/bracket, then a word or two, and finally less-than followed by /a and greater-than. (Had to say it out loud, so to speak, because otherwise the code just highlighted the description!)
