Another Governor Plays Daddy

Tim Keane, the Governor of Virginia, has apparently decided that he is the father of every 11-year-old girl in the state, and he will sign legislation requiring that these young girls be vaccinated with Gardasil as a condition of attending school.

Parents will not be allowed to "opt out" of this STD vaccine until they review literature provided by the school.

This vaccination requirement is not only an affront to parental rights, it's completely pointless, as pointed out in a detailed article in the Weekly Standard.
