Cupcake Craze Hits So. California

I've got to try one of these cupcake bakeries... I've been meaning to get to this one which isn't terribly far away.

Or maybe this one in Newport Beach...they have locations opening soon across the country and around the world.

Whatever happened to the Krispy Kreme craze in Southern California? I remember when the first store opened on Imperial Hwy in La Habra they practically had to bring out the riot police. Krispy Kreme, Krispy Kreme, that's all you heard. Now the La Habra store is shuttered, and you don't see the donuts in supermarkets like Ralphs and Stater Bros. I actually bought a chocolate donut for 75c and thought it was so-so for all that fuss. I mean, a donut's a donut, right? And wither yogurt craze of the early '90s? And my kingdom to see some clothes on Ugly Naked Guy.

Krispy Kreme's problem was some sort of expanding too fast corporate problem. The one in our town closed down too. Some think they felt it was a mistake to put them in all the grocery stores like you mentioned. I loved their hot glazed, that was the only thing that made them different; other than that, you are right, they are just a donut.

I had never heard of the cupcake thing until seeing it here. I wanted to see if they had franchises, but they don't.

I think the yogurt craze has given up the ghost to the 4 buck coffee craze.

Can I help it if I am shedding?
