"No Known Link To Terrorism"?
As Michelle Malkin has reported, two Middle Eastern men were arrested in South Carolina this weekend, apparently with a bomb and/or bomb-making materials.
And yet the FBI immediately says there is "no known link to terrorism"?
As I commented at Holy Coast earlier this evening, when the FBI makes these kinds of statements so quickly, they lose credibility and cause me to question their motives.

Maybe it's like when a woman dies and the cops say the husband/boyfriend "is not a person of interest". You KNOW they are, but the until the police get more evidence they always deny it. I don't know if that's so they can't get sued or what, but it is a dumb thing to do.

Good theory Terri. I also think that they don't want us to "jump to conclusions" or "worry our pretty little heads about something so little" or "run out and throttle every Muslim we can find" or ...
Yep, I think you're both correct...
Best wishes,
Laura
They were arrested within 10 miles of the naval weapons station there where my father-in-law is employed. It was the same base where the shoe bomber was held. It would be quite a score for the Islamist wackos.
Their motives are simply avoiding a suit by CAIR. I think that it's purely a precautionary tactic that enables them to state emphatically that they were not profiling or targeting muslims. And I think it's a clever move.
CAIR has informed us that they were just 'naive college students on a road trip'...uh huh. Because all college kids on a road trip travel with pipe bomb acoutrements, fuses, igniters, etc.
I'm not buying.
