Baseball and Conservatism

A fun article for baseball fans to mull over, by Fred Schwarz of National Review Online.

Sunday Update: Here's another good baseball essay, Baseball's Timeless Appeal, written by Clark Griffith for the Baseball Hall of Fame. (Hat tip: Power Line.)

Cooperstown is fairly high up on my "wish list" of places to visit in the U.S. A few years ago we were able to see a traveling exhibit from the Hall of Fame, at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum, which was absolutely wonderful.

This reminds me of a relatively new documentary about how LA-based radio host Dennis Prager influenced a listener. The name of the documentary is called "Baseball, Dennis, and the French". I haven't seen it yet but I think it's on DVD now. It only screened in Southern California last year at various venues. It sounds interesting.
