O Happy Day: The Return of Hydrox Cookies

First Flaky Flix cookies made a comeback...now the Wall Street Journal reports that my other favorite cookie, Hydrox, is coming back, at least temporarily.

The WSJ says it's not guaranteed it will be the original recipe, so I hope they actually taste like Hydrox, or there's no point in bringing the cookies back. Hydrox fans don't want to eat imitation Oreos! Brand Week's story varies from the WSJ and says it's the same recipe with the trans fat removed, so perhaps there's hope.

The cookies will be marketed as Limited Edition 100th Anniversary Hydrox. They'll be available starting at the end of August.

Kellogg's has started a Hydrox website which currently just says "Did You Miss Me?" and "More Information Coming Soon."

Thanks to CLM for this great news.

I've never heard of either of these brands! So funny how regional some products are.

I'm from Ohio, and I remember Hydrox also.

I didn't know they were gone. Hydrox cookies are definitely tastier than Oreos -- crispier, too.
