Walk-Off Grand Slam
Governor Sarah Palin had a tough act to follow after Rudy Giuliani's barnburner of a speech, and, as one pundit I read said, she hit a five-run home run.
Brilliant, simply brilliant.

Laura,
A grand Grand Slam! I was cheering during her whole speech!
I was watching it on C-Span and the libs reporting afterward - Mark Shields and Gwen Ifill - looked pretty down in the mouth as they spouted their doubts about "how she could keep it up when facing reporters in person."
I say just watch, baby, just watch - and learn something!
Love your blog, Laura, thanks!
She is woman, hear her roar! Woot!
This is what we've been waiting for - not your same old Washington insider. Thanks goodness someone on McCain's staff had the foresight to push for Sarah Palin as VP. And I agree with you, she was my pick last summer, the democrats are way behind the learning curve.

Laura,
I can't stop smiling.
Now that the pre-speech diatribes are over, the first thing I read this morning was that her hair style was old. Maybe bloggers should start writing nasty pieces on the men's clothing and parts of their bodies that protrude. What do you think?
BTW, I have to say that three of the CNN panel commentators verbalized great excitement and praise after Palin's speech. They deserve credit for saying so out loud especially knowing that they'll be called to task for it.
