Price of Stamps Going Up (Again)
Just about exactly a year ago, I posted the news that stamp prices would be going up in mid-May.
Different year, same story: the price of stamps will go up by 2 cents on May 11, 2009.
Mailing a letter will now cost 44 cents.
At least they're waiting until the week after Mother's Day cards go out before they raise the prices...

Yeah, well I guess Postal workers have moms too. You ever listen to the Burns and Allen old radio show where Mel Blanc played the sad sack Mr. Postman? His line was always "Keep Smiling." The post office sure is making it hard to do that anymore.
