New Book: Thank Heaven by Leslie Caron
Good news for fans of classic film in general, and musicals in particular: Leslie Caron's autobiography, THANK HEAVEN, will be released later this week.
The book's publication date is November 25, 2009.
Caron's book should be very interesting. The stories she tells in DVD interviews (i.e., AN AMERICAN IN PARIS) about her experiences as a young ballerina, transitioning from war-torn Paris to Hollywood, are fascinating.
Caron currently operates a bed and breakfast in France. Wouldn't a visit be wonderful?

Thanks for the heads up.
I fell in love with only two film actresses in my life, and Leslie Caron was one of them.
I was only 11 years old at the time.
I'd love to visit her in France (sigh)...
Well, now we have to know, Mel: who was the other actress? :)
Wouldn't it be neat if you could travel to France and pay a visit to her B&B?
Best wishes,
Laura
Well, if you have to know, Laura, it happened quite a few years later, when I saw How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying for the first time: Michele Lee.
Had a crush on her for weeks...
That's fun, Mel! Thanks for sharing.
I got to see Vallee and Morse do that show in a stage revival way back, but unfortunately no Michele Lee in that production! :)
Best wishes,
Laura
