Everything's Ducky

We woke up this morning to find the unusual sight of two beautiful ducks relaxing on our front lawn:

They didn't seem a bit disturbed when we walked quite close to them to take this photo.

There are some birds circling overhead and squawking loudly, apparently wondering what the ducks are doing in the middle of our neighborhood.

Have a good day!

Very cute. I'm surprised they let you get close. You inspired me to finally post my duck picture from this year and one that's more than a dozen years old. Very odd behavior this year!

I immediately thought of the duck on your roof! And how I'd told you we don't have ducks in my neighborhood! (grin)

Best wishes,
Laura

Maybe these are some of the displaced ducks from the empty Rivers of America over at Disneyland LOL !!!

LOL! :)

We noticed a bunch of koi near Carnation Gardens and the Frontierland bridge Friday. I don't remember seeing them there before, do you? I wonder if they had been found as they drained the Rivers of America -- this article on that subject was interesting!

Best wishes,
Laura

That's funny, Laura. So out of place! Perhaps you should put out a little wading pool.

We have alot of birds out here, but what always gets me are the flocks of wild parrots that shriek as they fly overhead.

I had never seen the Koi before either until recently. I had read that article and found it very interesting. I also read about how they put the water into holding ponds which went into ground water. That whole subject is interesting to me as I went on a free tour recently where we went to holding ponds (not the ones in Anaheim).
