Today at Disneyland: After the Rain

Yesterday was a rainy day, which is sadly a rare thing this year in Southern California.

As much as I enjoyed the much-needed rain, I was glad it cleared up for a visit to Disneyland this afternoon. The weather was crisp and it was mostly sunny, with some residual gray skies providing a nice contrast to the spring-like colors. Click any photo to enlarge for a closer look.

Valentine's decor returned to Town Square again this year...

...and some of the flower beds seem themed for Valentine's Day as well!

The lamps lit on Main Street provided a cozy touch when gray clouds covered the park:

I like the mix of pink and gray in this shot of the Partners statue at the Hub:

You'd think it was spring already looking at some of the flowerbeds!

Mary and Bert said hello near Sleeping Beauty Castle:

One of my favorite spots in the park, Snow White's Grotto:

The original statuettes were marble and were later "retired" and replaced with less valuable replicas. The originals were put on display at last summer's Disney Expo; here's a photo:

Here's a shot today of part of the Orchestrion in the Candy Palace, which was bought by Walt Disney and has been in the park since Opening Day:

There's video of the Orchestrion in action at YouTube. It adds a great vintage touch to Main Street.

Crisp and sunny sounds as lovely as those flowers look.
