Hey I just saw Lloyd Nolan in SANTIAGO tonight--he played the villain in this, a well-realized character and he was very good, as I'd say he always was. A most satisfying and enjoyable movie--you'll probably see it sometime (said it was Warner Archive now--this was from last night of Summer Under the Stars).
I recorded that one, Blake! So I'll definitely see it. :) He really was always so good -- there are a couple times I've been watching his movies and suddenly been startled into realizing that he just completely stole a scene. He was a real pro.
Best wishes,
Laura
