Today at Disneyland: Frozen in Fantasy Faire

It was a gorgeous day today in Anaheim, with temperatures in the low 70s.

The castle is currently being prepared for the 60th Anniversary celebration; click to enlarge for a look at the creative covering blocking the ongoing work from view. Many other spots in the park are undergoing renovations, including the Peter Pan ride and all of Critter Country.

I love when the Partners statue is landscaped with tulips -- so beautiful! Here's the plaque in front of the statue:

In addition to revisiting the Mickey and the Magical Map show today, I had my first chance to see the new FROZEN show in Fantasy Faire:

The lighting in the theater isn't conducive to taking good photographs, but I can report the show runs about 25 minutes and is quite delightful -- creative and at times very funny. Anyone interested in seeing it should head to the Hub and pick up a Fastpass to see it.

As nice as it was to enjoy today's weather, it's a bit disheartening to see a warm forecast for the coming week, possibly heading into the 80s -- California needs rain!

Glad to hear you enjoyed the Frozen show in the Fantasy Theater. In my opinion, it's the best Frozen thing the Parks have going. I think they have gone overboard with Frozen and am tired of it, but this was a pleasant surprise and delightful. I've become friends with some of the entertainers over the years there and it's always fun when I get to see one of them in the role of Mr. Smythe or Mr. Jones :)

Thanks so much, Mel! The bright blue sky and the pink and white flowers really give what's already a great view a lot of pop! :)

Best wishes,
Laura

Hi Irene!

I agree, they've gone kinda overboard on FROZEN (much as I enjoyed the movie) -- that "popsicle stick" at the end of Buena Vista Street is definitely too much (grin). But this show was really fun! How neat you've become acquainted with some of the cast members. They do a great job maintaining high energy despite performing several shows a day!

Best wishes,
Laura

"popsicle stick" - ha ha, good one! Whoever thought that fit the theme on Buena Vista street has a screw loose :) Just awful.

Thanks, Irene. :) There are definitely times when you wonder how smart people who usually do great work can make such a...poor!...decision.

Best wishes,
Laura
