Edward G. Robinson and Hedy Lamarr were chosen by voters from TCM's new TCM Backlot club, which I'll be writing more about here soon. Robinson beat out James Cagney, while Lamarr was chosen over Ava Gardner.
There are many interesting days here, with personal favorites such as Robert Montgomery, Cyd Charisse, and James Garner, plus I'm very interested in the Constance Cummings tribute, which will feature some more obscure titles.
I'm especially thrilled about Tim Holt being celebrated! Can't wait to see THE ROOKIE COP (1939) which I've never come across before!
I'll be posting more information on the August schedule around July 31st. In the meantime, the current May Star of the Month is Robert Ryan, while the June Star of the Month will be Marie Dressler and July will be a celebration of the centennial birthday of Olivia de Havilland.

A Tim Holt Day! I just showed my daughter "The Magnificent Ambersons". Oh, how she hated him! I had to remind her of the cute lieutenant in "Stagecoach". It didn't help.
I'm conflicted by "Summer Under the Stars". On one hand, I like the programming, but on the other hand - don't they want me to get out of the house once in a while?!
