Coming Soon!
What a month it's been for film fans in Southern California!
I spent much of March at the UCLA Festival of Preservation and the Noir City Film Festival, and today I head for Hollywood and the TCM Classic Film Festival!
Today's schedule is packed with pre-festival activities, and the movies get underway Thursday evening. My tentative picks from the festival schedule may be found here.
Please follow me on Twitter for "as it happens" coverage, then look for in-depth blog coverage on the festival beginning next week!
A preview of TCM's July schedule and another Noir City Film Festival review will be posted over the next few days, so please check back periodically for new content while I'm away.
In addition to extensive coverage of the TCM Classic Film Festival, there's much more ahead here in the weeks to come, including:
*Reviews of several more films seen at the Noir City Film Festival
*A preview of next month's Arthur Lyons Film Noir Festival, which takes place in Palm Springs, California
*A Classic Movies & More video interview with Joel McCrea and France Dee's grandson, Wyatt McCrea, which took place at McCrea Ranch last weekend; I was honored to participate in the interview with Aurora of Once Upon a Screen and Annmarie of Classic Movie Hub
*A visit to Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, the final resting place of many great filmmakers
*Numerous Warner Archive DVD and Blu-ray Reviews
*A review of the recent book FROM THE HEADLINES TO HOLLYWOOD: THE BIRTH AND BOOM OF WARNER BROS. by Chris Yogerst
*Reviews of FURIOUS 7 (2015) and the brand-new THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS (2017)
*And a giant Around the Blogosphere link roundup!
April will be another busy month at Laura's Miscellaneous Musings, so please check back regularly!
