Criterion Collection Half-Price Fall Sale at B&N
The annual November half-price Criterion Collection sale began today at Barnes & Noble.
I took advantage of a recent 24-hour "flash sale" at the Criterion Collection site to stock up on CLUNY BROWN (1946) and THE FLAVOR OF GREEN TEA OVER RICE (1952). The latter is a particularly good deal as the set comes with a second feature film included, WHAT DID THE LADY FORGET? (1937). I recommend both purchases; all three films have been reviewed here in the past.
I suspect the giant new GODZILLA collection will be under many Christmas trees this year thanks to the sale!
The sale runs through December 1st.
