Disneyland: The Return of the Main Street Electrical Parade

Disneyland reopened from its long state-mandated closure on April 30, 2021, but the return to "normal" has been a long, slow process.

Over the last year Disneyland has navigated restaffing, supply chain issues (numerous Christmas products were stuck in L.A. Harbor until after New Year's), and more. The last pieces in the puzzle to return to the resort have been the nighttime entertainment.

The Main Street Electrical Parade and Fireworks, along with the World of Color show in Disney California Adventure, returned in late April, and Fantasmic! returned last weekend. (There's a marvelous Fantasmic! video at MiceChat.)

A couple weeks ago we went to Disneyland to catch the parade, which has been modified with a couple of new floats at the end. Here are a few photos of the parade taken that evening from our vantage point near the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A.:

The new floats begin here:

I'm hoping to see the parade again soon from a closer vantage point. It was quite crowded, as so many people were excited to see the parade again.

Disneyland has also just moved the daytime Tales of the Lion King show from Disney California Adventure to a larger venue at Disneyland's Fantasyland Theatre.

I expect to see more of the park entertainment in late June or July!
