Price of Stamps Going Up (Again)

Is it just me or are stamp prices rising more frequently than ever? Today comes word the price of a first class stamp is going up to 42 cents on May 12th.

Despite my love for the Internet, I'm also a big fan of old-fashioned snail mail correspondence, so these seemingly annual stamp increases add up to a definite "ouch."

Have you thought about stocking up on the Forever stamp? From the USPS web site this quote:

"Featuring the Liberty Bell image and the word "forever," the stamp will be good for mailing one-ounce First-Class letters anytime in the future — regardless of price changes."

I might get some Forever stamps for bills, but I'm a big fan of commemorative stamps and love the variety of designs. (I've still got some 34 cent Cary Grant and Snoopy stamps I'm hoarding for special occasions, grin!) Thanks much for sharing the link!

Best wishes,
Laura

That is the one downside to the Forever Stamp - the design. I like the commemorative ones also, especially the Disney ones :)
