New Book: Footwork: The Story of Fred and Adele Astaire

Thanks to my friend CLM for pointing the way to this children's picture book on the Astaires, which was published last September.

FOOTWORK was written by Roxane Orgill and illustrated by Stephane Jorisch. It's aimed at the 4- to 8-year-old set. An unusual -- but most welcome -- topic for preschoolers and beginning readers.

I'll be looking for this so I can browse through it the next time I'm at a bookstore.

I found this at my library and really enjoyed it. It's nice to see that Fred's daughter Ava participated or was interviewed for the book.

I miss Fred!!! ;-) Thank goodness for his movies!

I'm so glad to hear you liked it and that Ava participated. She has done a great job participating in some of the DVD's of his movies. I especially enjoyed her reading from her father's letters entertaining near the WWII front on the HOLIDAY INN DVD.

Best wishes,
Laura
