Coming to the Egyptian Theatre: A Celebration of Myrna Loy

The life of the one and only Myrna Loy will be celebrated at Hollywood's Egyptian Theatre on Sunday afternoon, November 20th.

The Egyptian happens to have played a special role in Loy's life, as it was there she was discovered on the stage, while performing in a live "prologue" before a movie.

Emily Leider, author of the new Loy biography MYRNA LOY: THE ONLY GOOD GIRL IN HOLLYWOOD, will be giving an illustrated talk and signing copies of her book.

The lecture will be followed by a screening of MANHATTAN MELODRAMA (1934), Loy's first pairing with William Powell. Clark Gable also stars.

The Egyptian website indicates the movie will be a digital screening.

Sure wish you could both be there next weekend!! :) Should be a very enjoyable afternoon. How cool is it that the event will be held in the place where she was discovered?!

Best wishes,
Laura
