Today at Disneyland: MouseAdventure Card Games (Family Division Winners!)
We spent a most enjoyable day competing in the MouseAdventure Card Games at Disneyland.
This was our fifth time to participate, and I'm surprised and pleased to say that it also turned out to be our second time to win the Family Division! We received a lovely gift basket of books, DVDs, and other goodies.
We won the MouseAdventure Luau last spring, when our team name was Practically Perfect. For the last two MouseAdventure events we've competed as Skippers in De Nile, complete with Jungle Cruise themed t-shirts. Eeyore, pictured above, was our mascot today!
This was our final time to compete in the Family Division as my youngest son is aging us out of the division when he has a birthday later this month. Next time around we'll be competing in the Basic Division "Returning Players" category.
We really enjoyed the format of today's game, which had many more point-scoring opportunities than last fall's MouseAdventure Zone event. Some of my photography in the park over the years has paid off with things like knowledge of the location of a time capsule, a Saturday Evening Post magazine, statues of characters, and other random bits of useful odd knowledge.
We are always very impressed with the hard work, professionalism, and good cheer of all of the MouseAdventure staff. They do a great job, and we highly recommend playing when MouseAdventure returns to Disneyland this fall.
Update: Registration is still open for the noncompetitive "Day at the Park" MouseAdventure game on March 25th. "Day at the Park" is a great way for first-timers to try out MouseAdventure. We had a really good time doing that event in 2010.
Tuesday Update: MousePlanet has a brief recap and list of team winners. A complete recap will be posted after the "Day at the Park" event on March 25th.

I am not surprised that you won your division! Sounds like a really fun time.
(By the way, I hate this new blogger comment area. Trying to guess what the letters are in the box is a pain. I'm on my fourth attempt!)
Thanks, Irene! It was a great day.
I'm with you on the new Blogger comment "security." The letters are nearly impossible to read; I've been thwarted trying to post comments elsewhere myself, making three and four tries. It's very frustrating.
I wish I could just turn comment modification off but then I get swarmed with junk like porn spam comments...argh.
Best wishes,
Laura
well it's on all blogger blogs as far as I can tell, not just ones with comment moderation. And I certainly understand why you have it turned on. Let's see if I can get this through on the first try :)
You got through! I didn't realize that new "guess the letters" was part of commenting on every Blogger blog now. Thanks for the info!
Best wishes,
Laura
