TCM Star of the Month: Doris Day

Doris Day is the March Star of the Month on Turner Classic Movies.

Day, who was also Star of the Month back in 2012, will be celebrated with 30 films on the schedule spread across Monday evenings.

Below is the complete Star of the Month lineup. Please click on any hyperlinked title to read my complete review.

I love so many of these films! I especially recommend ROMANCE ON THE HIGH SEAS, MY DREAM IS YOURS, CALAMITY JANE, ON MOONLIGHT BAY, and JULIE -- but the majority of the titles are worth seeing.  Doris always entertains!

Laura, Doris Day with talent and beauty to spare in every way, is so worth viewing in anything and anywhere. She brings sunshine into our lives, when so very much needed. My all-time favorite is CALAMITY JANE(1953).

I so completely agree, Walter! And yes, CALAMITY JANE is definitely way, way up there for me in terms of favorites.

"Sunshine" is such a perfect word for what Doris gives us all.

Best wishes,
Laura
