TCM Star of the Month: Robert Mitchum

The New Year is starting off in fine style on Turner Classic Movies, with Robert Mitchum featured as the January Star of the Month.

47 Mitchum films will be shown this month, spread over Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings. The series kicks off on January 2nd.

The complete Star of the Month schedule is below. Please click any hyperlinked title for an extended review.

I've reviewed a significant number of the films being shown this month, and almost all of them are worth seeing.

Instead of well-known films, I'd particularly like to highlight some relatively lesser-known Mitchum films which are worth catching. I'm fond of THE BIG STEAL (1949), ONE MINUTE TO ZERO (1952), and SECOND CHANCE (1953).
