Songwriter Lew Spence Dies at 87

Other Sinatra fans may choose more serious Sinatra albums, such as IN THE WEE SMALL HOURS, as his best work, but for me, it's the bubbly, romantic NICE 'N' EASY, which also includes my all-time favorite Sinatra recording, "How Deep is the Ocean?"

Rather remarkable that the same composer wrote the title songs for two favorite albums by two very favorite singers.

Hey pallie Laura, thanks ever so much for the nice Dinomention. It is truly sad to see so many of our Dino's and the frankie's contemporaries passin' on. Never was, never will be anyone as cool as the King of Cool. So glad you dig his music like I do. Oh, to return to the days when Dino walked the earth!
I was sad to hear about the passing of Lew Spence. He wrote so many classic songs that were recorded by the likes of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and many more. Even if someone didn't know him by name, they had probably heard one of his songs. What a great talent. R.I.P.
Nice post on Frankie and the crooners!!
