Governor Spitzer Linked to Prostitution Ring

Once again, the mind boggles.

According to the New York Times, controversial New York Governor and former Attorney General Eliot Spitzer has "informed his most senior administration officials that he had been involved in a prostitution ring."

Spitzer is due to hold a press conference later today.

He is married and the father of three.

How can anyone supposedly this smart be this stupid?

Will the Democrats give him a pass and allow him to remain in office, or will he be forced to resign?

Update: Title and story above corrected changing Spitzer's current title from Atty. General to Governor; my mind was on autopilot when I first posted!

The latest news is that Spitzer is expected to resign.
