New Book: Betty Crocker's Guide to Easy Entertaining

BETTY CROCKER'S GUIDE TO EASY ENTERTAINING is actually a new old book, a reproduction of a 1959 cookbook.

Over the last few years I've collected several classic Betty Crocker cookbooks which have been released in new facsimile editions. My favorite is the fabulous BETTY CROCKER'S COOKY BOOK, which is one of the all-time great baking cookbooks. BETTY CROCKER'S PICTURE COOKBOOK and BETTY CROCKER'S COOKBOOK FOR BOYS AND GIRLS are among the other vintage titles which have been reissued.

All of the books have wonderful old photos and graphic art and are as interesting to read as they are to actually use. The books contain many timeless recipes, along with the occasional strange recipe that makes you wonder what they were thinking when they wrote cookbooks back in the '50s.

I expect the latest release in this series will be as enjoyable as the previous titles; it's going on my Christmas wish list.
