It's Daytona Sunday!

Today is New Year's Day for NASCAR fans, with today's running of the sport's premier race, the Daytona 500.

The L.A. Times has a nice profile of one of my favorite drivers, Mark Martin (click subject link). 50-year-old Martin, one of the nicest guys in the sport, has come out of semi-retirement to drive for Hendrick Motorsports.

I also especially like Jeff Burton, who this year will be driving the CAT car previously driven by his brother Ward.
