Disney News: Disney Twenty-Three and the Sherman Bros.

The second issue of Disney Twenty-Three has been released and is now available at Barnes & Noble. I hope to pick up a copy in the next week.

Topics include a preview of a new Monsters Inc. ride at Tokyo Disneyland, the history of Disneyland's Disney Gallery, the future of California Adventure, the 75th anniversary of Donald Duck, animals at the Disney Studios, and the Sherman Brothers, composers of the score for MARY POPPINS and other Disney films.

The Sherman Brothers are the subject of a new documentary, THE BOYS: THE SHERMAN BROTHERS' STORY (2009).

You can read more about it in the L.A. Times and USA Today. USA Today calls the documentary "a fascinating love story and moving tribute to Disney films, the joys of making music, the bonds of family and enduring partnerships."

The Times has also posted a review.
