Amazon and Netflix?

There's an interesting rumor in the business pages today that Amazon may be interested in acquiring Netflix.

As a comment to one article points out, though, this could fly in the face of Amazon retreating from any "presence" in states which are trying to use Amazon as a new tax resource. Indeed, another article says state tax boards would benefit if the deal were to go through.

I'm not so sure I'm a fan of this idea...

Oh boy! I agree with you, I'm not very happy about this rumor.

I would not like this. Amazon is the new large-corporate-stamp in some ways and Netflix is unique and fantastic. Why do we have this passion and drive for everything big to gobble up everything else and get even bigger? Netflix works! Let it be!!!!

Ok. I'm off my soapbox now.

Bye-best wishes.

I'm with both of you at present...I love Amazon dearly but I also love Netflix and think the two companies remaining separate entities might be best for consumers...

We'll see what happens!
Best wishes,
