Ursula Thiess, Widow of Robert Taylor, Dies at 86

German actress Ursula Thiess, the widow of Robert Taylor, recently passed away at the age of 86.

Thiess died on June 19th. The London Daily Telegraph posted a nice obituary.

Thiess's films included THE AMERICANO (1955) with Glenn Ford and BANDIDO (1956) with Robert Mitchum.

In 2007 Thiess published an interesting memoir, ...BUT I HAVE PROMISES TO KEEP: MY LIFE BEFORE, WITH AND AFTER ROBERT TAYLOR. Thanks to my father, I have an autographed copy of her book.
