For the Love of Film (Noir) Blogathon Continues

Just a reminder that the For the Love of Film (Noir) Blogathon, which is raising funds to help restore 1950's THE SOUND OF FURY, continues through tomorrow, February 21st.

Bloggers have contributed all sorts of interesting posts on film noir related topics, which are linked at the Self-Styled Siren and Ferdy on Films.

There was initially a problem with the PayPal link which may have prevented some would-be donors from participating. The problem seems to be resolved -- this link should be working. If you're a film fan who hasn't contributed yet, please consider sending a few dollars toward the Film Noir Foundation's restoration project.

For more on the Blogathon, see my post on the Blogathon and the movie D.O.A. (1950).

February 22nd Update: Some closing thoughts from Ferdy and the Siren, who also share a message from the Film Noir Foundation's Eddie Muller. Although the financial tally was below last year's blogathon, there were more individual donors, which is a wonderful thing during tough economic times.

From Eddie Muller: "...one of the essential truths is that folks who can’t afford to be generous are always the first to share. Every donation, whatever amount, is valuable and appreciated."
