Fox Movie Channel in October: Highlights

Here's a look at some of the interesting titles on the October schedule at Fox Movie Channel:

...The deliciously entertaining SON OF FURY (1942), a swashbuckling South Seas adventure starring Tyrone Power and Gene Tierney, airs on Sunday, October 2nd.

...Robert Ryan and Robert Stack star in Samuel Fuller's HOUSE OF BAMBOO (1955) on October 4th.

...ALL HANDS ON DECK (1961), starring Pat Boone, Barbara Eden, Buddy Hackett, and Dennis O'Keefe, will be shown on October 5th.

...DAVID AND BATHSHEBA (1951), which turned up on Fox at the end of September, returns to the schedule on October 8th. Gregory Peck and Susan Hayward star in the titles roles, supported by Raymond Massey and Jayne Meadows.

...Clara Bow and Gilbert Roland star in the pre-Code CALL HER SAVAGE (1932) on October 9th.

...DESIRE IN THE DUST (1960) has an interesting cast: Joan Bennett, Raymond Burr, and Martha Hyer. It was directed by William F. Claxton, the director of countless episodes of BONANAZA, THE HIGH CHAPARRAL, and other TV shows. DESIRE IN THE DUST airs October 9th.

...Doris Day and Richard Harris star in CAPRICE (1967) on October 11th. The year after CAPRICE Doris Day's final two films were released.

...On October 14th Dana Andrews, Jeanne Crain, and Eleanor Parker star in MADISON AVENUE (1962). Andrews and Crain were also teamed in STATE FAIR (1945), DUEL IN THE JUNGLE (1954), and HOT RODS TO HELL (1967).

...Don Murray and Eva Marie Saint star in Fred Zinnemann's A HATFUL OF RAIN (1957) on October 18th.

...The charming CLUNY BROWN (1946) returns to Fox on both October 21st and 22nd. This Lubitsch confection stars Jennifer Jones, Charles Boyer, Peter Lawford, Sir C. Aubrey Smith, Helen Walker, Reginald Owen, Reginald Gardiner, Richard Haydn, and many more great character actors.

...A LIFE IN THE BALANCE (1955) stars Ricardo Montalban, Anne Bancroft, and Lee Marvin. It will be shown October 23rd.

...On October 29th, Michael Rennie plays Father Junipero Serra in SEVEN CITIES OF GOLD (1955). Richard Egan, Anthony Quinn, Jeffrey Hunter, and Rita Moreno also star.
