Fox Movie Channel in June: Highlights
Fox Movie Channel has a good lineup ahead for June. I believe all of the older films shown on FMC this month have aired on the network in the past, but some of them haven't been on for a while.
Here are a few titles of note:
...John Ford's WHAT PRICE GLORY (1952) shows on June 2nd. The cast includes James Cagney, Dan Dailey, Corinne Calvet and Robert Wagner.
...The fun romantic comedy LOVE IS NEWS (1937) will air June 4th. It stars the trio of Tyrone Power, Loretta Young, and Don Ameche.
...There's more John Ford on June 5th, with a showing of MY DARLING CLEMENTINE (1946). Henry Fonda, Victor Mature, and Linda Darnell lead a superb cast, which also includes names such as Walter Brennan, Ward Bond, Tim Holt, and John Ireland.
...NOB HILL (1945) looks interesting, starring George Raft, Joan Bennett, Vivian Blaine, and Peggy Ann Garner. Technicolor, too. It airs on June 6th.
...STANLEY AND LIVINGSTONE (1939) will be shown on June 16th. It stars Spencer Tracy, Nancy Kelly, and Richard Greene, supported by Walter Brennan, Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Charles Coburn, and more.
...I enjoyed ELOPEMENT (1951) which stars William Lundigan, Anne Francis, and Clifton Webb. It's on June 17th.
...Another film I recommend is ON THE AVENUE (1937), which stars Dick Powell, Madeleine Carroll, and Alice Faye. This is the film which introduced Irving Berlin's "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm." It will be shown on the 18th.
...TAKE CARE OF MY LITTLE GIRL (1951) was on Fox earlier this year, but I'm mentioning it again since I love Jeanne Crain! It's shown June 19th. The supporting cast includes Dale Robertson and Jean Peters.
...Robert Taylor and Barbara Stanwyck star in THIS IS MY AFFAIR (1937) on June 23rd. They would marry a couple of years later.
...Raoul Walsh's THE BOWERY (1933) stars Wallace Beery, George Raft, Jackie Cooper, and Fay Wray. It's on June 25th.
...Susan Hayward stars with Stephen Boyd in WOMAN OBSESSED (1959) on June 28th.
There are many more classic film era titles airing on Fox this month, including some of the films recently shown in March, April, and May. There's a search feature on the Fox Movie Channel website for those who might want to see if any recently aired films are on again in June.

It's been years since I saw "Take Care of My Little Girl". I wish we received that channel in this area.
