TCM Remembers 2013

TCM Remembers 2013 made its debut tonight on Turner Classic Movies and is now available to watch online.

I was especially touched by the remembrances of favorites Deanna Durbin, Harry Carey Jr., Eleanor Parker, and Esther Williams, and I was especially happy that Virginia Gibson and Matt Mattox were included in clips from SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS (1954).

Thanks, TCM. Well done.

December 17th Update: TCM has released a new version of TCM Remembers 2013 due to the recent passings of several notable actors. They've also edited in British actress Jean Kent, who died in November. The new version is on the TCM Facebook page.

Past TCM tribute posts: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.

They always do such a nice job, so much better than the Oscars. I don't have cable so I appreciate your posting the link here.

Glad I could share it, Irene!

Vienna, I just tested and it's playing for me -- perhaps a different browser would work? You can also go directly to the TCM website, it's linked on their main page tonight. Good luck!

Best wishes,
Laura

Oh my, they always get to me. Those faces you are sorry to see in the roll call. We're lucky that we'll always have their work.
