Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here's lovely Irish-born actress Angela Greene to wish everyone a happy St. Patrick's Day!

Greene was born in Dublin on February 24, 1922. She played small roles in a number of Warner Bros. films beginning in 1944. Like most young actresses of the era, she appeared in studio publicity photos celebrating a variety of holidays.

Greene married in 1946, the year this publicity photo was taken, and would go on to have three children. After her stint at Warner Bros. ended in the late '40s Greene continued to work steadily; she may never have become a household name, but she was a working actress in films and TV until 1976. She passed on in 1978, at the age of 55.

Suggestions and reviews of a number of films with a St. Patrick's Day theme can be found in my 2012 post.

Have a happy day!

Angela appeared in a pair of personal favorites. The Time, The Place and The Girl, one of the Jack and Dennis series, and Royal African Rifles with Louis, and while she was not the leading lady in either, her work was more than just effective.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on her. I think the main film I recall her from is SHOTGUN (1955).

I love Dennis Morgan and will have to be sure to check out that title.

Best wishes,
Laura
