George Allen, "The Jeffersonian"

As I mentioned last week, George Allen is currently the potential Presidential candidate who most interests me.

This interest was underscored on last weekend's Fox News Sunday when Allen strongly reiterated the need for our country to support Israel. Allen said, "The United States needs to stand strong for a democratic Israel, and we need to stand strong in disarming these terrorists." (What a contrast with the Washington Post's Richard Cohen...)

I was amused to read that Allen and I root for the same NASCAR driver, Elliott Sadler. Unfortunately, Elliott's not having a good year and is currently No. 20 in the standings.
