Telemundo anchor Mirthala Salinas has been suspended without pay for two months, following an investgation into a conflict of interest. Salinas covered news regarding Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa for at least 18 months without disclosing she was having an affair with the mayor; most infamously, she reported on the air about Villaraigosa's divorce without disclosing the ongoing affair.

Some Telemundo executives were also suspended or reassigned.

Update: This afternoon the L.A. Times reports that Hal has colon cancer, which has spread to his liver.
