CA Students Indoctrinated to Support Illegal Aliens

I heard this story on the radio news this morning and couldn't believe it...4th grade elementary school children were taken to visit a day labor site and meet with illegal alien workers.

The principal, who has a child in the class, was heard in the report saying something along the lines that it taught the children empathy and not to judge others.

The children then went to work writing newspapers and raising money on behalf of the illegal immigrants.

I could see visiting such a site being appropriate for high schoolers, who are hopefully old enough to think critically...if and only if it was part of a project to look at all aspects of illegal immigration.

But 9-year-olds? They're being taught, plain and simple, to feel empathy for and support those who break the law.

PoliPundit: "The sad part is I bet most of her students can't name the first President of the United States."

If anyone ever wondered what is wrong with public education in America, this is a great example of how convoluted and schizophrenic its become.

Keep bringing on those reasons for homeschooling...

This week the Governor of Illinois signed a bill allowing illegals to be eligible for driver's licenses.
