...how willing some of our lawmakers are to devastate the American economy in the name of global warming, with massively increased governmental power as a side benefit.

The Lieberman-Warner cap-and-trade plan is an utter disaster, which rations carbon emissions. Need to go over your limit? Then businesses must buy carbon credits, an Al Gore style, meaningless scam.
