Secretary Rice Plays for the Queen

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice gave a private piano recital for Queen Elizabeth II Monday in the Buckingham Palace Music Room.

Secretary Rice was accompanied in a performance of Brahms by Louise Miliband, wife of the British Foreign Secretary, and three members of the London Symphony Orchestra.

Video of a few minutes of the performance is here.

That was really lovely. I did not know that Ms. Rice was an accomplished pianist. What class!

Glad you enjoyed it, Irene! Ms. Rice played with Yo-Yo Ma at the White House at one point. Here's a neat NYT article from a couple years ago about her love for piano.

Best wishes,
Laura
