New Book: Born to Be Hurt: The Untold Story of Imitation of Life
This new book about Douglas Sirk's IMITATION OF LIFE looks like an interesting read. The author, Sam Staggs, also wrote ALL ABOUT ALL ABOUT EVE, a detailed chronicle of the making of that classic film, which I enjoyed quite a bit.
Somehow I missed the releases of Staggs' books on A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE (that one just went on my Amazon wish list) and SUNSET BOULEVARD.

I agree, the book about Imitation of Life looks interesting. I saw it recently on the B&N Review Long List. Do you read that? I always find they have books of interest there for the classic film fan.
