In Disney News...

...Disney is said to be developing a sequel to ENCHANTED (2007) for release as soon as 2011.

Anne Fletcher, director of 27 DRESSES (2008) and THE PROPOSAL (2009), may direct. Disney is said to hope to bring back the original cast.

I'm not wild about this idea. Why mess with perfection?

...The official Disney Parks Blog recently posted a nifty video about the park's graveyard shift.

When I worked at Disneyland in the early '80s I loved to be in the park when it was closed. It's fascinating to see and hear the work going on when there aren't any guests present.

...The Yesterland page at MiceAge has a beautiful look back at the Sierra Tower at the Disneyland Hotel.

The photos were provided by Donald Ballard, author of a wonderful book on the Disneyland Hotel. Mr. Ballard is said to have more Disneyland Hotel material in the works for future publication.

...Leonard Maltin has a fun piece on Disney-Pixar's John Lasseter and TOY STORY toys.

...The Spring issue of Disney Twenty-Three magazine is now on sale. I picked up my copy last week.

The magazine's fifth issue celebrates the 70th anniversary of Walt Disney Studios. There's also a peek at the plans to renovate Walt Disney World's Fantasyland.
